There is a little something Lovely for everyone. I'm primarily a designer and creative soul. As a child my father bought me little miniature toys hoping to keep me quiet in church (He was the minister speaking) and my mother gave me little projects to hand sew to keep my little hands busy. As I grew older, my grandmother taught me to quilt. I found that I loved sewing, stitching and making things. It brings me great joy designing, creating and then completing a project whatever medium I am using - sewing, quilting, stitching, painting, pattern making.

Psalm 90:17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us...

Finding such joy in creating and sewing, stitching, etc. I have really turned my passion into pattern and instruction making. I feel like if I found such satisfaction in making things, surely other young kids and adults of all ages can learn the enjoyment of making something. Not just craft making, but inspirational creating. When I create a pattern for this shop to sell, it always has very simple and easy directions, and pictures to help guide along the way. I do not focus on difficult DIY projects that are overwhelming.

I am working on designs in cross stitch, sewing, quilting and of course miniature projects and designs. Patterns and one of a kind items. I’m so excited about this I’ve been working for months on this collection. Also! There is a new cross stitch section coming soon to my shop with designs, new patterns and supplies. I've cross stitched for over 30 years and it is a natural progression for me to take my designs, turn them into cross stitch charts and designs. This has made my heart so happy to be able to go into this new direction.

My fathers' father was a printer and typesetter, and I have found great joy in creating graphics and word art which you will see more in the coming months in my shop. Most items can be printed out and used in your daily planner, Bible journaling or even framed. I love having those positive words, scriptures or quotes in front of me to navigate my thoughts in the right direction.

Some of the little designs (miniatures) I've made are in upcoming American Miniaturist and Dollhouse UK magazines .💗 I'm also offering free patterns and DIY projects when you visit my blog Ribbonwoodcottage.com I love seeing people make things and smile afterwards! And Thank you everyone for purchasing my creations or patterns.

My efforts have equally turned to creating a guideline - This is referred to as a PDF downloadable pattern. You download the pattern, click on the link and a new window opens on your tablet or computer, and it is the opened pattern filled with pictures and step by step instructions. Easy for you to refer to pictures and directions, to guide you into making some special things for you or a special someone! I would love to see young kids do the same thing. With that in mind my patterns are usually very SIMPE AND EASY, using beautiful fabric for a wonderful end product.

...I do NOT make doll furniture that you see. It is purchased from various dollhouse miniature manufacturers worldwide. I do however paint, distress, sand, sometimes take it apart and put it back together to work with the creations I am making!
